I'm Wendy, a 22 year old college student, living amongst my menagerie of pets, including two dogs, a corn snake, a ball python, and a hedgehog. No birds yet, but I'm looking to get a duck or two very very soon~ As an avid animal lover, I'm more than certain ducks will be my 'gateway drug' and I'll end up having an entire flock to care for in the near future LOL

I'm looking forward to meeting new friends and learning more about these lovely creatures! c:

If you go to "Other Backyard Poultry" forum which includes quail, geese, etc. you can post your duck questions on the ducks threads.

Welcome!! Ducks are so fun and sweet. Found a baby duck at our local lake; she was just a little chick. It was sunset and she was swimming backwards, head bobbing. No mommy in sight. Took her home and Wildlife center said that she wouldn't make it through the night. She lived with us for 16 years and I miss her so much. We named her LD, Lucky Duck :) I miss her quack and loving her and smelling her down feathers on her head. Have fun with your ducks. Maybe get a couple of Toulouse geese for friends and protection!! BTW, I live in sunny California, too!!

Here is a cute picture of her when she was still growing.

Aww, she was such a cutie! I want to gather a bunch of babies and just roll around in them LOL
Without accidentally squishing any, of course~
I'm definitely going to have an awesome time raising my first ducks! c:
