Hello and welcome....so glad you joined BYC

I have pekin bantams too. Absolutely adore them :)

i wasnt intending to rear quails but i ended up with 12 eggs at an auction so thought i would try them and all 12 hatched out....LOVE them to bits they are superb little birds with such great personalities.
I have been keeping pekin bantams for a couple of years now and have blacks, partridge, mottled and lavanders....managed to get a couple of mottled frizzles a few months ago so well pleased with them.
i also keep old english game.

chickens are such fun and myself and my daughter katy ( shes 5 ) spend a lot of time with them and they love people.
I hatched a batch of quails yesterday and to my surprise one of them was a pure albino !!!! so here's hoping he survives as he is a lot smaller then his hatchling mates but is eating and drinking.....very very strange to see him in with his stripy black and brown hatch mates when he is yellow with very pink eyes.

I will be using this forum a lot as im still very new to poultry and there seems to be a lot to learn

lynn xx
