Just wanted to pop in and say hi to everyone. My wife and I just got our first chickens a few months ago and have been learning alot from backyardchickens and decided to join. We currently have 2 rhode island reds and 1 barred rock and are looking to expand to maybe 8 birds total but will need a bigger coop first.

I agree, 3 chickens are not enough LOL Have a look at the Coops section for ideas, if you feel like building one. There are some very nice coop designs there.

Welcome to BYC! My advice is to build your coop and run much bigger than you think you need (chicken math) good luck to you.
