6 Chickens in St. Charles, we are very familiar with St. Charles, too! What is your ordinance there? We know that they are allowed, but was wondering how many feet from other residence/property line, etc. The library & Baker Park area is so nice! Great farmer's market on Fridays!

Thinking about going to 09:30 yoga at the farmers market tomorrow! Want to meet up?
Our city code regarding animals in the city can be viewed online, the only mention of chickens goes like this:
"except for birds and fish"
We invited the code enforcement officer to our home in 2008 to help us figure what we were in for if we dared forge on to keeping our kids growing chicks. He gave good information, based on his knowledge of other residents' chicken housing.
The coop, or any property improvement, follows code for buildings, structures and fencing.

Well THAT didn't happen. Some storm, eh? Did you get this one out in Sycamore? (I doubt it, because it only storms like this if I'm driving in it. Since I stayed home today, the storm is HERE where I'm aiming to drive to the Butera
) Luckily, I got our baby chicken to join her grownups INSIDE the coop, she wanted to stay out, peeping, watching the sky!
