Hi!!
Have gotten soo much information off this group already Have been very inspired by people's coops as we look to build our own very soon. We picked up our chicks from the hatchery yesterday and they are sooo cute ( or so I think)! Here's some picks of them and the brooder. We have pet snakes so this old snake tank and it's heater have been perfect

This ceramic bulb gives off heat but not light. The brooder is near a window and has a glass front do they get the natural rhythm of the sun.

Thanks everyone We are having a great time! Just a quick question- I have a miniature poodle who is now obsessed by the babies. She even slept outside their brooder last night! She doesn't want to intentionally hurt them but sort of wants them to play. Did your dog settle down after you first got your babies or do you think she will keep up this strange obsession forever?
