So, my family and I used to be beach people but I started teaching at the University of South Florida and we needed to move closer to campus. We ended up renting an adorable little house on an acre and a half. We got a miniature donkey (Kako) - hence the name Tiny *** Farm, and started looking into chickens. Mom fell in love with Breda Fowl so we got 4 hens and are awaiting a rooster next may. Then I fell for Americaunas and we have 4 hens and a roo, then we found a local breeder who is working with pavlovskayas so we have 1 roo and are awaiting 2 hens sometime in the next month. Needless to say, we quickly fell head over heals for chickens.
Mom, Tracy, is starting a soap business and enjoys the farm - taking care of the chickens and Kako. I, Becca, am teaching at USF and about a year away from getting a Ph.D. in Environmental Policy (I study water policy) and my brother, Stefen, enjoys eating the eggs. I have fallen in love with the country life and am so looking forward to being a part of this community!!
