New to the chicken life. This website has been very helpful and its what motivated me to finally jump in with both feet into this adventure. I have 11 ladies that are almost 5 months young. They are Rhode island reds and hopefully they'll be laying soon.

Hello from Ohio...
Welcome aboard, as they say!
Well, I did exactly what you did, head first (glad the 'pool' was full) and haven't looked back!
Glad you decided to join us and will look forward to 'seeing' you around (and learning whatever I can from ya as you have a 4mo. and 3wk. jump on me :)

Take care,

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. Rhode Island Reds are a hardy, dependable breed, and very good layers. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck with your RIR ladies.

We're glad to have you. If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

I hope your birds start laying soon! Rhode Island Reds are usually very good layers of nice large brown eggs.
