Hey! I am a stay at home mom with three kids and one on the way! We have a backyard flock of 8 hens and 1 new orphaned baby chick (that my daughter found). We are new to chicken keeping but I'm absolutely in love with my lady birds. Our chickens are named Henny Penny (RIR), Z baby (barred rock), Dumdum (spangled cornish), Birdie (black maran bantam?), Heihei (red copper bantam?), and Kim, Chloe, and Kourtney Kardashi-hen (2 black marans and one olive egger). And the baby chick doesn't have a name yet.. We live in a neighborhood with an acre yard and we love our semi urban chicks.

Glad you joined the flock! BYC is a very informative and fun site for people who love chickens, ducks, turkey, quail, etc.. You have a big variety of different breeds!
You made a good choice coming here. All of these folks are so knowledgeable, they have helped me tons! I'm new to chickens, I started out with older ones. Big mistake! But I do love them. Now I have 12 one month olds in my garage. I think they will be moving out this next week. Nice to meet you.
