Welcome! I'm so sorry for all the unfortunate events your dealing with! I currently live in Oregon on the coast and might be moving back to Texas but down by the border. If you don't mind me asking what part of the state do you live in? I've never heard of or experienced any of the issues your girls are having. I'm trying to educate myself and have everything set and up safe for when they arrive. I have chickens and a goose and a duck. They are my children. Any advice would be great!
