My names it Thomas the Paramedic.....

I am a semi retired kinda firefighter who is delving into chickens for the first time. I am in the process of building my brooder. And have ordered my first round of cornish cross chickens. They will be here in late April. I am thinking of starting some egg layers as well but haven't pulled the trigger on that yet. Looking forward to getting to know some of yall and enjoying the vast amount of information.

Thanks
Amazing Thomas

Welcome to Backyard Chickens Thomas. Are you aware that Cornish x are meat birds? They eat almost constantly and generally need to be processed by 6-8 weeks, before their organs and legs give out. Hope you have a big freezer
