Absolutely no offence meant to all the other beautiful places on earth. :)

I'll do the questions suggested:

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I had chickens a few years ago in Jacksonville, FL. In my small backyard. My then husband (now ex) didn't like how they dug up the yard so we got rid of them after about a year. I missed them ever sense. I recently moved to NW Georgia and live on a HUGE empty farm so I got chickens again. :)

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
Right now I have 7 four week old chicks.

(3) What breeds do you have?
Two are Rhode Island Reds. Five are Araucanas. They are not perfect Araucanas, they have sprinkling of tail feathers and not all are tufted. I don't care though, they are friendly and cute.

(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
Google.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Quilting, cardmaking and balloon twisting.

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I live with my boyfriend. I have three kids and split custody of them with their father who doesn't live too terribly far. When I said I was moving up here he moved too. His new wife is actually from here and wanted to come back home so it all worked out. We all get along reasonably well. The kids are all boys. Two are taking to country life like fish to water. One wants to stay inside and play video games all the time. We have two dogs, both rescues. One is a Pit mix. One is a Australian Healer. Both are adorable and loving dorks. Attention hungry critters. We also have two cats. One is a crazy cute insane tiny beast. The other is a lazy fat huge thing.
I work part time at The Home Depot and am a Balloon Artist. The balloon thing should be my main job but I am just getting started back up here and it's taking time to get my name out and get the jobs rolling in. I actually LOVE working at The Home Depot so that works out well for me.
I guess that's about all.

It's great you were able to get back into chickens. Nice to have you here!

Welcome!!
I lived in Atlanta for a few years and couldn't get up to your neck of the woods often enough for hiking. It really is very beautiful.
