(1)Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? Extremely new. Brought home our chicks about 6 days ago.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 4, they are about 2.5 weeks old.
(3) What breeds do you have?
Buff rocks
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? Right now nits just seeing how quickly they grow. I love watching them explore and learn new things every day.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? I am currently in school for Herbal Medicines. I crochet, and am a SAHM l. My 6yo is lvl 2 autistic so having her help with the animals and learning life skills along the way.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
We currently have our 4 chicks, 3 rats, a crested gecko, a leopard gecko, a tarantula, a corn snake, a dog and a cat lol my mother calls our house the "zoo" house. My partner and I have 5 kids between the two of us ranging in age from 5 to 19. We decided to start our journey on building our homestead not only to become more self sufficient but to bring us closer as a family.
