Hello from the Pacific Northwest

After lurking on BYC for 9 months I have finally gotten my first chickens. I adopted 4 hens and bought their coop/run. I also purchased 5 chicks to put under the very broody hen.
My flock consists of:
Welsummer hen- Alice
Buff Orpington hen- Martha
Blue laced red Wyandotte- Betty (the broody hen)
A Red hybrid hen- Wilma

2 welsummer chicks- Heidi and Greta
1 Buff Orpington Chick- Leah
1 Blue splash Ameraucana chick- Kensie
1 lavender Ameraucana chick- Ashley

Thanks y'all! Today will be spent in modifying the coop & run and making their free range area more secure. There is a horse on the other side of the fence that is a little too interested and the fence is going to need a bit more reinforcement with her leaning into it regularly.

I think the horse just loves watching chicken tv- more exiting that horses grazing in a field I imagine.
