We are just starting the process of acquiring our backyard chickens. The sticky point right now is designing a coop that our HOA will approve and that we feel best suits our needs. I need to head over to the coop construction forum and see if anyone has some ideas for us. I love that my husband is so on board with this, he won't even consider a cat or dog but feels like chickens are a no brainier. Love him!

There are some very cute coops that look more like kids playhouses than homes for chickens. I think that should appeal to HOA. Some people even landscape with flowers in window boxes etc.
