we bought 6 chicks from Orscheln just 3 weeks ago. we bought 2 RIR's , 2 Easter eggers ( americaunas ) , and 2 Buff plinith rocks.
i started them out on medicated feed... it was on sale... with a bit of medicated water just to be sure as we are starting them in our home with the dogs (3). They are growing so fast its clear that i need to finish the coop soon. i put them in the dog bath and covered that with a children's safety gate i had laying around. i used pine shavings and purchased a feeder and a water station. they had tons of room ...at first. now at 3 weeks at home, they are clearly getting ready to be in a chicken run.

Hello jenn and Katie. If I can make a suggestion you would end up with less droppings in the feeder if you move their roost. If you were trying to deter them from standing on the feeder you need something more like the wire from a metal hanger. Good luck!

Yup originally put the pole over the feeder because that is where they sat. But then moved it when they all started sitting on the roosting pole. I put the coop in place but need to build the ramps and nesting boxes along with adding vents.

Have installed nesting box's and placed a ramp for them to climb up to them. I cut a 18" x 36" hole in the side of the shed and closed it off with wire.  and the shed has some vents already. i will post pic's tomorrow. i have ordered 5k live meal worms and have created a 3 tier breeding stack for them. l am using under bed storage containers and have modified them for use like the 3 drawer chest setup. my meal worms will arrive in about 2 days. and i have everything ready to start breeding my own to save and sell. as i read the forum and learn more about being a chicken owner i think about more ways to make the whole experience fun. i read today about the horse stable freshener pdz and how a poop tray can help. Great help from all here, thanks and keep posting!
