In the Brooder
Hello all,
We live in Plainfield a suburb of Chicago. I work with someone who has a small farm in Indiana and introduced us to "fresh eggs". We enjoy them so much we are deciding to start our own little egg factory. We are still in the planning stages and that is how we came to this site. Our goal is to have between 3-5 hens(roosters not allowed). Looking at building a raised coop 4x6 with an attached run 4x12.
I have already spent about 9 hrs searching through here gathering information and it is pretty overwhelming all the info here. If there is anyone near me that can offer up information that is specific to our region for coop design and chicken breed preference that would be great. Any general information would also be helpful because I really don't want to do a trial and error process on this.
Thanks In Advance.
