Hey! I'm from the Texas Hill Country as well. We love our fresh egg breakfasts as well.
I have one australorp but I'm getting my first actually orpingtons (buffs) in my chick shipment mid-February. I'm thrilled.

Australorps are a great breed! And buff orpingtons are my favorite breed! They are so affectionate and curious!
