hello i am new here and new to birds in general really exculding a pair of mallards i had as a kid(they were indoor pets who walked on leashes)
for several years ive been very intrested in button quail but was unable to get any becuase i lived in an apartment where no animals were permitted and was deffenitly exceeding my limit with 3 cats,a ferret,a rabbit,2 mice,a 20 gallon and a 10 gallon fish tnak, a tortiose and 15 rats
well i am now living in a nice big house where anything is permitted since those eyars ive lost my rabbit (RIP) all the rats (RIP) the ferret, and just recently my two mice (RIP) so i was acheing for a nice new pet and button quail are what i really really want ive been doing a ton of research talking to breeders,owners and the like and plan on getting 2 clutches of eggs once i get a good incubator htough ive never used an incubator before im going to wait a week after setting it up and becoming familliar with it before i get the quails. the cage i have gotten for them is 6 feet by 4 feet guinea pig cage converted solid floors and soft mesh top. im deffinatly looking forward to learning even mroe about these delightful little birds and im hopeing you all can hlep me
