Hello from the Welsh lady new to hen keeping

Welcome from across the pond! Everything I've learned about Wales I've learned through my stomach lol... and yall do comfort food right! I mean, yeah there's American chili and tomato soup, but then there's Cawl. My absolute favorite soup on the planet is Cawl with some delicious buttered rustic bread. I know everyone's grandma has a family recipe, but, not being from Wales, I found one on the internet in some 18th century cookbook that starts with sauteeing salt pork before adding in the lamb and *chef's kiss* it's divine.

Glad to meet you, Lila. So sorry you lost that chicken despite your efforts. Consider what a better life you gave her right up to the end. She had never had a chance to see the outside, and you gave her a chance to free range and hang out with her sisters, and to be cared for as a living soul. Best wishes from New England.
