Hey everyone! I am very new to chickens. I ordered my first batch of days olds from MPC just yesterday, 3 EEs, 2 Australorps and 1 Barred Rock. They should be here in about two weeks. I already feel like a mother hen, collecting things for the "nest" and worrying about how my eggy babies are doing. I live in the city with my hubby of 6 years, sons age 3 and 1 and am expecting another baby in June. We also have a sweet lab/gsd mix who I think will do really well with the chickens, considering he lets wild birds pick food out of his bowl while he lays lazily only a foot away. I am so grateful to have the BYC community to learn from!
