Hi guys,

Just getting started with my first flock of chickens. I built their hutch from second hand decking timber from a construction site,

I have three five week old silkies two roosters and a female, two australorps a five week rooster and a 2 day female, a six week Plymouth Rock female, two week old red females and a a white day old female that I think is a leghorn?

We are planing on getting more once out roosters have become dinner. All the chooks have access to our whole yard and are a very cheeky bunch.

are you sure you have silkie roosters? Silkies are very difficult to sex young - usually they have to be 4-5 mos. old or either crowing or laying eggs to be sure. I wouldn't think they'd be much of a meal - just a ton of silky feathers. Maybe you could rehome them instead.
