Hello,
I had chickens from 12 years old until about 6 years ago and I turn 50 this year. I have recently purchased a home in the country and I am ready to get back to owning birds and enjoying the hobby. I have owned multiple breeds over the years but specialized in large blue/black Cochins. I am looking for Bantam Cochins this time and open to most colors. If someone reads this and willing to send me to a reputable breeder, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks,
Curtis

G’Day from down under Curtis :frow Welcome!

Welcome back to being a chicken parent also :clap

I love bantam Cochins and have 4 myself; such sweet little girls :love

I do hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

You might want to also Find Your State Thread and pop in and say hello. Someone may have a suggestion for you to source some bantam Cochins locally.

Best wishes and good luck!

Hello and welcome to our community. I would have thought that there's a thread on your breed of choice - just use the search function and hopefully you will find it. There's also the buy/sell/trade forum to keep an eye on - https://www.backyardchickens.com/forums/#buy-sell-trade.67 (though you need to have made 20 posts on BYC before you can participate).

Good morning, Curtis. Congratulations on your new home and welcome to BYC and back to keeping chickens. Follow @Teila 's advice and access your state thread. Perhaps someone there can help with some local birds. Good luck in establishing your flock.
