Hello Everyone!
I have 13 chickens, 4 Rhode Island Reds and 3 buff brahmas are a year old. We just added 6 white leghorns to our flock for some white eggs. I just put them in the coop with the yearling chickens. They are getting along well. Only issue is that we free range and they want to keep laying their eggs where we raised them as chicks. (They started laying a week earlier than I anticipated so my timing is off for the coop transfer). Am I supposed to leave them in the coop for a few days so they get used to the new space? I am not sure and they didn't want to go in yesterday so we left them all inside today and they were successful at laying their eggs in the nesting boxes so I am hoping they are getting the idea of where the eggs are supposed to go.
Thanks for the potential advice.
