Hello All! I'm so glad to join your community of chicken-savy folks! Thought I'd answer these sample questions to tell you a little bit about myself and my family:
1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Very new. We decided to make chicks a part of our family this Easter. The kids were so excited (and so were my husband and I :O).
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
We have 6 chicks right now.
(3) What breeds do you have?
3 Buff Orpingtons, 3 Ameraucanas
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
Google, and also a couple friend recommendations after that.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I am a singer/songwriter hoping to record my first album in the not too distant future. I love cooking/baking, gardening, being involved in our church, community theater and spending time with my family.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
We have 3 beautiful girls, ages 6, 3, and 2. They are the light of our lives. I am a mother full-time. This is a challenging job, but I wouldn't be anywhere else right now.
