I have had chickens for about six years now. I found plans for my coop on BYC way back then. I had a flock of 15 until a couple of weeks ago until my son's dog got in the run and left me with five. I have three different kinds (colors) so I know which I need to replace each year. There are leghorns, and black and brown sexlinks with one buff orphington. I just got 5 new chicks. The store didn't have any leghorns left, so he told me that California Whites are just as good layers. So that is what I bought.
