I've been lurking here for many months and I think I'm ready to join in the fun. Have an established flock of 5 hens(2 rir,2 leghorns and a black hen I'm sure of the breed and one silkie rooster. A friend gave these to me because the rooster kept attacking his kids. I also recently hatched 3 barred rocks and 1 buff orpington in my homemade incubator, they are a week old now and have 10 barred rock and 12 buff orpington eggs back in the incubator and they're due Aug 1. I grew up raising chickens with my grandmother and learned loads from her. Looking forward to meeting folks here and learning something new.
