Hi all,
I'm new to chickens all over again, haven't had any for about 15 years. We have 4 Isa Browns and 3 Aracaunas, (sp?) one of which is a young rooster and they are beautiful boys!
I'e been married to my hubby Ron for 39 years and we have 3 grown kids, 33, 30 and 25.
We decided to get back into having a few chickens since we have both recently retired (yeah!)
We live on 5 acres and our hobbies are, of course our feathered friends, a huge garden that feeds us as well as the kids and inlaws and camping in our trailer usually to go salmon fishing.
I found BYC searching for different breeds as we are planning on getting another 6 hens.
The girls are our pals and they free-run once they have laid and come to the house to visit and are always waiting for treats from the garden.
