my family has just moved back to my hometown and have room for the chickens i always wanted. i'll be converting one of our sheds into a cop starting this wknd. i'm super excited to garden and tend to hens all summer! we're thinking of getting 4 or 5 hens, plymouth rocks or dominiques most likely. maybe try a few meat birds next yr. i've got a 3 yr old and 3 mo old, hope they like chickens clucking around them in the summer. it's very exciting, the whole family is joining in, to help set it all up
