Hello from Vermont

This is my second year with chickens but I've relied on BYC since day one. I started with four, lost one to sickness, one to a hawk, got three more and lost two of those to some kind of predator and sadly, had to cull our rooster. It's been a roller coaster and we've learned some hard lessons but we have 8 babies that will hopefully be joining the coop this summer. This site is fantastic and we are really enjoying the experience!
