Hello! I can't believe I found such an awesome site! I'm going to be completely honest and say that as of right now I don't have any chickens because where I currently live I can't (not enough space legally). But, once I move into my new place with my hubby in a couple of years I plan on building my coop and getting my flock started! I actually never thought about owning chickens until we went to visit a friend of my hubby's who happens to have 4 hens. It was awesome to watch them peck around. When I found the by laws for my area that said I could have them in my backyard it opened my eyes to a whole new culture! I look forward to meeting lots of people and having my own flock!
 
Glad you joined the flock. Hope you will be able to move somewhere you can have chickens. In the meantime you can learn all about them here, and be very confident when the times rolls around for you to buy birds.
