Hello everyone!
I have wanted to have a few chickens for quite a few years and have finally made the leap!
We purchased 5 little ones last weekend from a local breeder and have been very happy with them hanging out in our living room in a converted generator box. i take then outside and sit with them each day, watching their hopping. dirt bathing and exploration antics. They are wonderful! We have 1 silkie, 1 showgirl, 1 polish, 1 cochin and 1 maran. We are hoping they are all female, but time will tell... lol
i am in the process of converting a shed into a coop and have enjoyed looking at the photos in the coop section of the forum. "cosmic chicken" came from my strange humor as i viewed the shed so far and realized all the silver siding made it look like a space house... hmmmm... maybe a theme is in the future... lol
