Hi everyone. I have a small farm that I don't live on, unfortunately, but I am only 15 minutes away so it isn't too bad. I have 3 horses and 3 chickens and 1 - 1week old chick. I am having a lot of fun with "her". I got her because I had a seriously broody hen so a friend gave me a couple of eggs for her to sit on. One hatched and voila! Anyway, I am new to chickens, relatively and very new to raising a chick. I am looking forward to making some new online friends and learning about chicken keeping.

Welcome to BYC! You may want to find your chick a friend as chickens are very social animals, if there's anyone local you can buy another chick from. Good luck to you.
