I've been a lurker for awhile just reading tons of great information on this wonderful site. Can't tell you all how much I appreciate it! I figured it was time to join in with an introduction and some pics of our babies. My wife and I are new to keeping chickens and were recently given two Cochin hens from a lady who couldn't keep them any longer. That was about 3 months ago and we have fallen in love with them and have become addicted. lol! Since those two hens we've added another hen and rooster,built a chicken house,just finished a chicken run, aquired six more two month old babies and have 29 eggs in an incubator. We really love the fresh eggs and just watching them walking around the yard and interacting with them has been great. They're so friendly we are able to pick them up.

Haven't named the young'uns yet but we have two golden laced cochin pullets and cockerel and two blue cochin pullets and cockerel that are between 2-3 months old. We have two black Cochin hens named Veronica and Daphne,a white Cochin hem named Blanca and a 11 month old Buff Cochin roo named Colonel.
