... This is a great site for information and ideas!! Im from Washington too If your interested in meeting people that are closer to you on the map there is a Washington Forum here... Lots of friendly folks that chat, share info, swap chickens , and lots of other stuff. Its a pretty fast moving group, but fun none the less.

Have you tried Craig's List? That is where I went to find my chickens and the lady that I got my three from also had two young Roo's for sale ($10, both Cochins; on Lavender and one a Silver Lace). They were both gone in three days. I've seen a number of them on Craig's List and the ads do not even make the manditory 'drop' time (10 days) as the chickens are placed and the owners remove the ads.
