Hi and welcome from a newcomer in PA. I have 6 Buff Orpington chics and 3 Rhode Island Red chicks. The orpingtons were straight runs so I'm not sure how many hens I have, I think only 2 of the 6. Fortunately I have an old friend with a big piece of land that has room for any extra boys. I colored their heads with a washable marker to be able to tell them apart. Brown and Purple are the ones I think are hens. Blue I'm fairly certain is a rooster, he has such a personality. I was hand feeding them some feed and he jumped right up on my hand. (I think he was trying to prevent anyone else from gettting any. They are only about 2 weeks old, it's amazing to see their little personalities developing and scary how fast they are growing!

Wow thanks everyone! oh and cute lab/pyrenees! I had a lab growing up that looked exactly like him... except he was lab/golden mix.
