Hi all! I'm a first time chicken owner, living in Western Washington. We got our first chickens this spring - 4EE's and 4BO's (we started with 5 of each but lost one EE as a chick and lost one BO recently to a coyote or some other wild animal.) So, other than the chickens, I have 3 cats, one dog, 2 kids (a 2yo old and a 6-almost-7yo), and of course the husband-child, too.
I've been lurking here since, oh, last summer/fall, probably, when I first decided to get chickens. You all have been sooooo very helpful to me already! Also you've been big-time enablers and you didn't even know it. I'm already planning on more chickens and my 6yo is saving up money for a goose or two next spring!
Anyways, you guys are a wealth of info (both byc and it's members), thank you for being here!
