Hi there! My name is Courtney. I live outside of the Seattle area with my hubby and 2 little boys.

I've been lurking for a bit researching information on backyard chickens. This place has been a wealth of information for me to see if we really could manage to care for chickens in our little backyard in the suburbs!

I finally ordered my little chicks (3) last night! We will have 2 RIR and 1 Speckeled Sussex. They are due to hatch and be picked up next week! The boys and I are very excited and nervous. I'm so scared I'm going to kill these things. Dh grew up on a farm so he's over the whole chicken experience. lol!
