Hi, all!
Let’s see...I’m a newbie, but I’m learning quickly. I’m a researcher and reader at heart. We have a flock of nine, a slew of human kids, 5 dogs, a Sulcata tortoise, and an extremely bitter cat.
So far I have a white crested Polish cockerel, two silver laced polish pullets, three Australorp x Polish pullets, and three that appear to be some unknown variation on the aforementioned theme. They all have Polish style ”hairstyles” to varying degrees. We have a walk in coop/covered run, but also free range them when dogs aren’t an issue. Usually a couple of hours a day or so.
My kids would like to show poultry in 4-H and to that end we are adding a couple of Silver Pencil Rocks and a Blue Splash Orpington later in the summer.
