Hello from West Marin, CA

Hello

I have been browsing and thought I should join. I currently have no chickens but am reading what I can in hopes that in the next year or so I might have my own Back Yard Chickens and maybe some Guinea Fowl and other birds too. Right now my husband and I are trying to move so it will be a little while before we are ready to actually have some birds but the researching part is very enjoyable. I had 1 chicken as a teenager and she was very tame. She used to insist on being held every time she saw me and I would pet her and she would coo softly and it was very much like holding a purring cat.

is anyone else here in West Marin?
