Hi everyone. I got my first chickens last spring, but lost some too a flood, and then in November, my entire flock was lost to a weasel. I started again this spring with new coops and reinforcements, and am happy to say I've successfully kept 12 chickens safe (knock on wood). I'm learning about the different breeds, and as of now, it looks like I have 9 different ones right now. We are currently getting 5-6 eggs/day with 13 hens, and hoping the number continues to grow. I live in WV, and have a good size yard to keep my birds in, but not enough space to have anything else, so I keep adding to my flock. Looking forward to learning as much as I can from everyone here.
