Hello all. Loving the BYC site. I recently built a small coop using a small kit coop and added a homemade run to it. (I don't know how they can sell those small flat packed coops saying they are suitable for up to four chooks but that's a whole other topic :/ ) So I built my extra little run so my two Isa Brown girls have the scratching and stretching space they need. It is still compact but it works. I searched this site a lot to find the chickens that would suit us and how much space to give them. I look forward to a lot more chicken talk in the future. :D

Here is my little coop and on of my serious little helpers who assisted in the construction.

I am looking forward to a few weeks time when they are truly settled in and I can let them out to explore a little. ;)

Hello :frow and Welcome to BYC! ISA Browns are great chickens, they should lay lots of eggs for your family, and I am sure they will enjoy their new coop.

If you want to meet up with some of your Aussie neighbors there are two threads I am aware of now:

"Australia- six states and one funny little Island," and "Australians - where are you thread?"
