Hello from Western NC!

Hi, welcome to BYC. It was good of you to rescue the old boy!
I worry about my old rooster losing his throne. My oldest hen has been overthrown, but thankfully, there was no bloodshed involved. She is still beloved by many, because she raised most of them, including the oldest and youngest of the roosters.

Wry neck takes a long while to treat. Are you still treating your pullet with vitamin E and selenium? It make take several months to see real improvement.
Well my old roo has a new home with all these girls and no boys to compete with.
I stopped treating after 5 weeks because someone near me said it probably wasn't wry neck since there hadn't been a single bit of improvement. I felt inclined to take his advice since he raises 2,000+ chickens a year. But in hindsight I can now see that taking a single opinion is stupid 🤦
I can definitely start treating for wry neck again right away. Maybe now that she's bigger she'll take the vitamin E herself.
