Yep, brand spanking new! Got two chickens from our neigbhors, and got 16 little peeps 5 weeks ago.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
Currently 18.
(3) What breeds do you have?
The two from my neighbors are "mutts"; Brown Leghorn and Rhode Island Red I think. One pullet and one cockerel born earlier this year. She is supposed to ready to lay next month.
Also 16 Barred Rock chicks, 5 weeks old this week. Two pullets will be kept from this flock and the rest will be dinner.

Google. had lots of questions before I got the chicks!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Medieval martials arts, horseback riding, training and teaching, art, gardening, remodeling, camping, hiking, history, travel
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
5 acre farmette with 2 horses (one retired and mostly blind, the second is my show and lesson horse), two barn cats, and one fabulous husband (who wanted the chickens and who is in charge of the layers. I am in charge of the meat birds)
