Hello,

I've been lurking here since the end of March and have been learning a lot. I'm new to raising chickens. I live in NE Wisconsin. There is no ordinance in the small town where I live. City Hall said its ok as long as we don't have 100 chickens. LOL. A friend is taking some of the pullet chicks in the next couple weeks. I don't really want more than 8 birds. Orginally I only wanted 4 but chicken math is pretty powerful. We currently have 13 chicks. 3 - 8 week old EE's (straight run and still watching for signs of a rooster), 10 - 4 week old pullets 2 RIR, 4 BO, 4 BR. We also had 3 Cornish Rocks. 1 didn't make it to butchering day and 2 did.

So far it's been fun and educational.

Welcome to the BYC. I just got my chickens this spring. They are a lot of fun. Alas, I originally said 4 would be good but now I am keeping 9 and thinking about getting a rooster.. Darn chicken math!!
