I live between Arlington and Poynette, so I guess it's south central or something like that. I had a house on the south side of Madison when I met my husband, after our son was born we moved to the village of Morrisonville, and now further north. If I let my husband keep going we will end up in Canada.

Make sure you use that lovely horse manure in your garden. Nothing breaks up bad soil better than horse poo. Compost that chicken poo and you will have the best corn, tomatoes, beans, peas or what have you. Lots of nitrogeon and phosperous. I do use fresh chicken poo in my strawberry and raspberry beds, as it never seems to bother them. Once you start canning you just can't stop. We haven't bought spaghetti sauce in 6 years. There is very little I don't can. Whats nice about putting extra away is I can use some of it for treats. My chickens love spaghetti, sloppy joes or any canned soup or veggie I let them have. Rosie Red has been know to grab a meatball and go running screaming like a banchee. She just can't contain herself.

Do Rocky mountain horses have some curly hair? Someone told me they do.

We are about 40 minutes north of Milwaukee. Near the Hartford area.

I am excited about the garden and all that comes with it. Just trying to be alittle more cautious about the foods that we are eating and buying from the grocery store now that we have a son. I will be a lot easier when the garden comes to know what exactly we are eating.

No, curly hair on rocky mountains. Some have lots of mane and tail. My 3 year old is chocolate with a white mane and tail. They are gaited horses so you just glide along the trail. Gaited horses are very neat....I have been spoiled by the smooth ride since I was about 12 years old. After a bad car accident in my early 20's, I can't ride trotting breeds- it makes my back hurt too bad.
