You'll want to look for cold hardy birds since ya'll have cold winters. Wyandottes, Barnvelder,Buckeye, EEs, Orpingtons, Australorps, Speclked sussex, Barred Rocks, and Rhode Island Reds are some.

I think any of the heavy breeds would do just fine in Wyoming.
