i am a police officer but related to a field work. i teach in police training college. i am posted as law instructer. i think same profession. i have a 3 kids 1 son & 2 daughters. i live in biggest city of pakistan. karachi is dense populated city. around 30 or 40 million peoples live here. lolll the city that never sleeps .

Wow! Many cities-towns in the US have ordinances against having poultry. Some cities allow only a certain number of hens; only. Other have no laws.

Me-retired teacher, married, one biological son and three special needs children we adopted who have passed away, live in country, have seven dogs and four puppies, three midget white turkeys, a few cross breed chicken, a pair of favorelles, three silkies, ten or so serama bantams, two longtail bantams, a bunch of Japanese quail, much into gardening, wife works at a greenhouse,

you know police job is busy duty. hence i just started to have a chickens. because it is need of every home both eggs and meat. my children eats eggs and they like too much. and the chickens of local breed except farming chickens is too much costly specially in winter season and eggs too. thats why i bought a domestic 2 chickens and local rooster. and they laid eggs daily in winter season i feeded them wheat rice grain spinach bread and every vegetable waste which we throw in garbage. but it is quite tough to handle in winter season because lots of disease faced and lots of chicks expires about 40 chicks lost in last 3 months. because i was new in this field and i was not aware about having the chickens but i learnt day by day by the internet and you tube and self gained experiences and experiments. now i enjoy to having the chickens and the fancy breed is costly and sells in high rate here in pakistan so i bought 20 fancy chicks. include 2 brahama. that was too costly ..loll

I started with birds when I was a kid. I have always been fascinated by them. A school friend gave me some bantams when I was 14. My much older brother gave me mallard ducks for a birthday. Over the years I have owned numerous species of birds; some poultry and others exotics; tiny finches-parrots, pea cocks, ducks etc. Most of my life I've owned hundreds of birds at a time.

Many breeds of chickens here are not expensive. High quality show birds, on the other hand, are very expensive. My serama sell for about $50. Show quality sell for many hundreds of dollars. I keep trying to improve my serama so they bring better prices. My first serama were very poor quality. Over the last few years, using selective breeding, I have improved my stock immensely.

Consider getting a breed that broods. I've stopped using incubators; broody hens do a better, more reliable job. My serama are constantly brooding and raising chicks as are some of my bigger hens.

Syed is my surname.. my name is kamran. pet name is kami. i have 3 kids.
Good day Kami. I hope all is well with you and yours. It's a boring day here. The weather cool but partly sunny; not a nice day to be outside, I am looking forward to spring. My wife is at work. She works part time. Always boring when my wife is not home.
