I am new to chickens and wondering why I didn't do it sooner. I have 6 golden sex linked pullets. 1 barred rock pullet, 2 americauna pullet's and one chicken that I am not positive of breed or sex. It is supposed to be a pullet, but it is crowing and very dominant it seems. I also just got my sweet little silkies 2 days ago (3 ladies and a gent)

Glad you joined the flock. That's how we felt when we first got our chickens too .... had books on how to raise chickens ... but certainly not the same as a live website like BYC, which is so much better and get to meet a lot of people with the same interest.

Your flock sounds very nice. You can post a picture of your mystery chicken under Chicken Breeds (What Breed or Gender is this) and knowledgeable people will help you identify him/her.

Thanks guys!! I have actually added a pic before I posted as new member. I am still not sure. It looks like a hen, but crows. It's only 14 to 16 weeks old, so time will tell I guess...lol!!
