Loved the phrase "oopsie cockerel". I ended up with a couple of those, too, this year. No major incidents, yet, but they're still young.

Sounds like you have a beautiful flock that produces some pretty eggs. Isn't is entertaining to just kick back and watch the chickens do what chickens do?

Working at a vet clinic probably has some perks; do any of the vets there treat chickens? It's tough to find one of those in Iowa (although I have!).

:welcome :frow I have quite a few males but I have a breeding farm. Some males are loves and others can be quite challenging. If I have a male continuing to challenging me he goes. I won't put up with it and there are a lot of good ones out there. Good luck and have fun...
