(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I’m not totally new to chickens/ducks, just new to hatching them out myself!
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
Gosh, we have a big ole flock of both chickens and ducks! I’d say about 15-20 chickens, and 25+ ducks?
(3) What breeds do you have?
Chickens: Brahma, Silkie, Polish-
those are what I can remember right now!
Ducks: Rouen, Pekin, Khaki Campbell, Cayuga, Crested, and Ancona!
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Getting to watch them grow! I feel like that’s the best part for me, haha!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I LOVE to draw and write! I’m an artist who usually only does cartoon styles! I plan to write a book some day, as well!
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
We have a few cats and dogs, and I’m currently waiting on my service dog training to finish up! Only a year and a half left to go!
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I found BYC on google while researching hatching ducks a while back! I’ve known about it since then, about... 2 months now? I wanted to ask some questions and join the community!
